We started Corvus & Field to get back to marketing for real businesses: the brands, owners, and crews doing real work for real customers, not the mega corps blowing millions on out of touch campaigns.

Why we started

Marketing is our passion. This is us doing it right.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of marketing stopped being about customers. Budgets got enormous, campaigns got strange, and the businesses that actually keep towns running (the trades, the local shops, the family operations) got left with a rotating cast of account coordinators reading from someone else's playbook.

We are simple people who love great marketing, and we wanted to spend our working lives on brands we believe in. So we built Corvus & Field: an agency where the owners stay deeply involved in every account, where we take one client per field and service area and never work with your competition, and where lead generation is the scoreboard, so nobody pretends a chart of impressions is a result.

Home services and the trades are where we feel most at home. Eldon worked construction in his early twenties, and both of our families are full of people in the trades and home services. We know what a busy season feels like, what a slow one costs, and how much respect the work deserves.

Owners

We are a husband and wife team living on the Palouse and loving every minute of it: Eldon is a Washington State University alum (Go Cougs!), one of our two kids was born right here, and this is where we are raising our family. When we are not working you will find us hanging out at Lake Coeur d'Alene, out on a trail with the kids and the dog, or exploring some new corner of the Pacific Northwest.

Our experience runs across trade shows, pest control, real estate, higher education, restaurants, concessions, retail food and beverage, and web3, building brands for everything from small family businesses to corporate operations. All of it feeds what we do here. We run every account like it is our own business, because it is.

The name

The raven and the field

/ kôr·vus / · noun · Latin

The raven. The sharpest bird in the sky; a problem solver, a planner, a collector of shiny things.

Corvus is Latin for raven. (We collect booked jobs. Same instinct as the shiny things.) The field is where the work happens: driveways, crawlspaces, rooftops, showrooms, campuses. Put together, the name is the promise we make every client: smart strategy for real-world work.
